In the years spent in Venice, Marcella pursued her profession as an architect working in the field of conservative restoration, stone materials and traditional construction techniques.
The return to Matera on the occasion of the candidacy for European Capital of Culture marks the reconciliation with her hometown and the opportunity to continue her profession here, while also dedicating herself to photography. The exhibition Roots and Paths on Matera and its surroundings curated by Marcella and with the participation of Gianni Berengo Gardin, is amongst the projects that contributed to the victory of Matera in 2019.
